My Thoughts: 

As you guys all know, I love Kasie West. I have read Pivot Point, Distance Between Us, and now this one and they all had 5 star ratings. Kasie is just an amazing author who creates amazing characters that you get connected to so quickly! 

The Reynold family was just so interesting to read about! I loved Charlie, her three brothers, Braden. Everyone. They were just characters that I wish I knew in real life because they seem like awesome people! Definitely an awesome set of characters to read about! 

This was a really quick read! I am so sad it is over! :(

I felt like the ending was just perfect for this book. All loose ends were tied up! I just loved this one! 

I can't wait until July 1st so I can discuss how amazing this book was with other fellow Kasie West fans!

I got this book from my local library! 

My Thoughts: 

“Just like there's always time for pain, there's always time for healing.” 

This is such an easy 5 star rating for me. I loved this book and I thought it was amazing. I feel guilty whenever saying it was amazing because the subject of the book is so terrible and heartbreaking but Jennifer took this heartbreaking topic and turned it into such a great story that I will never forget. 

School shootings are such terrible things and they get me so upset. I wish we had world peace and there was no children or parents that had to worry about the safety of themselves or their children when they are walking into school or dropping them off to school. 

I loved how we got some chapters that were set at the day of the shooting and some chapters that were showing us Valerie after the shooting. I felt like this was a great way to organize this book because I wouldn't have liked to have a huge information dump about all the school shooting details at one time. 

This book made me feel so many emotions. Happy and sad at the same time. I was so mad at some characters and I was rooting others on and was right by their side through the entire story. Other characters grew on me while the story went on and I learned more about who they really are. 

This has got to be one of my top five favorite books of all time! I just loved it and can't wait to read some more of Jennifer's books!

I got this book from my local library! 

My Thoughts:

Ellen Hopkins write such disturbing books but they are so wonderfully written. 

This story follows three teens: Conner, Tony, and Vanessa, who are all suicidal. There are three point of views in the book: one for each character and every character had such tough lives. I felt bad for every one of them. 

I love books written in verse. (If you like any verse books let me know your favorites so I can check them out!) Every book I have read it verse just creates such a beautiful story with amazing writing and that is exactly what this book was. Ellen creates such beautifully written stories that make you feel all the feels. 

One complaint I did have about this book is very often I forgot which character's point of view I was reading and I had to go back and check multiple times which disturbed the flow of the writing at times. 

Overall, I enjoyed this book and I was not at all expecting that ending, totally caught me off guard!

Friday Reads 1/10 [1]

This weekend I will be focusing on three books. Two are pretty short so I think I should make some pretty good progress on each of these books!
